Whitlam Dragons in the opening game of the 299 TKT by a score of

commitments to play the Lexicon Islands and Brolecia first.

Trophy by winning three straight games by a combined score of 9-2.
January 14, 300: KTZ National Soccer Team opens VexCup '99 and
the 300 season
with a 4-0 win against Wang Chung in the inaugural game at King
Bruno Stadium in Imperial City. A more than capacity crowd,

Zartania's triumph.

Cazniev where the game was played.
January 30, 300: Trika Rohal (#7, defender) whose missed penalty
shot in overtime cost
KTZ their game against Namuria, is shot outside her home in Lofnen,
Nomar. Christopher Delvana is fired as head coach of the KTZ
National Soccer Team for his controversial decision to play Rohal in
the overtime period against Namuria. A replacement is not immediately
announced.
March 24, 300: KTZ National Team assistant coach, John Hefter,
is named interim head
coach by TFZ Commissioner Karl Muskal in order to keep the team
trained and to prepare for the upcoming game against the Albion-Merité
Imperial Eagles.
April 7, 300: KTZ National Team, appearing somewhat dazed and
lost without Coach
Delvana, end up tying Albion-Merité 4-4 and beating newcomer Western
Zartania by a score of only 2-0. Some fans express the belief that
Eastern
Zartania is losing its edge in international soccer.
April 12, 300: KTZ National Team accepts a challenge by the Lexicon
Islands Vikings to
defend their IVEFA Masters Title. A tentative date of April 18 is
set for the
game, with a venue still to be decided.

Title for the second
time, this time against the Lexicon Islands Vikings.

KTZ National Team head coach by TFZ Commissioner Karl Muskal
following Hefter's successful application for Zartanian citizenship.

from professional soccer,
and from the KTZ National Team.
October 27, 300: KTZ National Team loses IVEFA Title to Westermarc
in 2-1 debacle,
then loses Tom Koh Trophy for first time in 3 years to Whitlam, who will
host next year's tournament. Coach Hefter says team needs "major
work" before VexCup.
January 20, 301: KTZ National Team breezes through VexCup first
round, stunning its
opponents in two consecutive 4-0 routs. International press declares
"KTZ is Back!" as the team advances to the VexCup second round for
the third consecutive year, this time to face West Uhlan.
January 27, 301: KTZ National Team advances to the VexCup Quarterfinals
for the
second time in three years with a 4-0 defeat of West Uhlan. The team
must now defeat #12 Davenport in order to advance to the Semifinals.
The following KTZ National Team players have received honors in the various tournaments in which the team has played. The player's name, position, and number is given, as well as the tournament and the honor.
Shown below is the jersey for the Eastern Zartanian national soccer team.
Uniform Front | Uniform Back |
Short explanation:
The red, black, and white colors come from the national colors of
the Zartanian people and from the Eastern Zartanian flag. On the right
front chest of the uniform is the coat-of-arms of the Kingdom outlined
in white. The jersey number appears small on the bottom left front corner,
and larger in the center of the back. On the right front leg of the shorts
is a gold crown overlaid by a sword: the Royal Seal, as the King personally
finances the team.
